It's beery comfortable

The cottage can sleep 4 adults: The upstairs includes a master suite with king bed.  There is also a walk-in closet, double sink bath and a sunrise view deck. Downstairs there is a queen murphy-bed desk made by Hidden Bed of Oregon, and another bathroom, with walk in shower.

In addition to the added architectural features such as a foyer with tile floor, mini-chandelier, corbelled hop archway, and steps that double as dresser drawers; the cottage also contains two fluted pilasters, a box beam with hop lights separating the kitchen from the living room, lighted box display cases over the downstairs windows containing my cobalt blue glass collection, and a built-in bookcase. In each bathroom you'll find a built-in magazine rack (full of beer magazines).

Walk through the cottage with this Interactive Virtual Tour!

Climate is controlled via a mini-split on each floor with indivdually controlled air conditioning and heating, and the ultimate luxury of heated tile floors in both bathrooms.

All the appliances are 24 inches wide or less to save space. The downstairs bathroom doubles as the laundry center with a stacked washer-dryer and built-in fold-down ironing board. The kitchen is gourmet quality with a four burner gas stove & oven, microwave, dishwasher, a sink disposal, and ample "D" shelf corner storage.

The kitchen also comes fully equipped with a gas stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, disposal, and an antique milkshake mixer.

There are two Dynamic Runabout drive-shaft bikes for use in the bike shed. There are bike locks, and helmets in the front hall closet. The Secret Garden in back of the cottage is an afternoon sunshine trap. Jon and I collected the blue glass bottles, glass fruit, large rock shards, second-hand mirrors and brewery signs that make up the secret garden decor.

“We spent the weekend here, down from the Seattle area. I don't get down to Portland often but had a great time. LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! The Cottage! Such a cute place! I'm in love with the décor - the hop lights in the kitchen are brilliant! I devoured the Art History book and loved the selection of books. The master bedroom and bath are so comfortable! I almost didn't want to explore the city and just stay at the cottage! And of course Teri and Jon and so friendly - we appreciate your hospitality. I seriously would live in this place!”

“My wife and I stayed 3 nights when we moved our daughter to Portland for her new job. She stayed on the Murphy bed and said it was comfortable. We appreciated the coffee starter pack.

Since we are new to Portland & Oregon, what we appreciated the most were the guidebooks on the bookshelf. And the place is beautiful."

“We enjoyed our time in Portland. We looked forward to going back to the Brewmaster's Cottage every evening. The cottage is what I like in my own home. Love the attention to details. Small space living concept design is quite inspiring. Pictures on the website do not do it justice."
